Recently Samsung is doing well with their ‘M’ series of mid and lower-end devices. Samsung devices like M31 and M21 did a great number of sales in the year 2020. Today Samsung Nepal has announced its latest entry-level device, Galaxy M02s in Nepal.

This is going to be an entry-level option in Samsung’s portfolio. The device has basic specs to carry on your day-to-day task and nothing extraordinary. The big thing is that Samsung Galaxy M02s has not made its global debut yet, and Nepal is among the few first countries where the device has been launched. 

Design & Display

The Samsung Galaxy M02s features a 6.5-inch TFT  display with a resolution of 720 X 1560 pixels with a notch at the top, housing the selfie shooter. It also has a bottom fire speaker and a micro-USB charging port. 

Camera

Samsung Galaxy M02s has a triple camera setup at the back. Here we get a 13MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor for portrait photos, and the last one is yet another 2MP Macro lens. Simultaneously, the selfie shooter on the notch up at the front is a 5MP f/2.2 shooter. It comes with features like ISO control, Auto Flash, Digital Zoom, HDR mode, Exposure compensation, etc.

Performance and Battery

For the performance side of things,  Samsung Galaxy M02s  is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU. It is an octa-core CPU with 8 power-efficient A53 cores clocked at 1.8Ghz. Along with this, we get 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. So, don’t expect much of a performance from this little champ.   

You should expect good battery life from Samsung Galaxy M02s as it is backed up by a 5000mAh battery and supports 15W quick charge. With this set of hardware, that battery can easily last you for a day with ease. For the software, the device will be running One UI on top of Android 10.

It is priced at Rs.15,999 in Nepal for a 4+64GB variant. According to Samsung Nepal, Galaxy M02s is now available on both offline and online stores all across the nation.
