Samsung in December 2022 inaugurated its global CSR program “Samsung Innovation Campus” at the Pulchowk Campus of Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering. Whereas today May 25 2023 they have completed their 1st batch of students for the course. What is Samsung Innovation Campus Program?
Samsung Innovation Campus is part of Samsung’s global CSR vision of “Together for Tomorrow! Enabling People” which trains students and unemployed youth to be experienced in key technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution, nurturing them for the next generation workforce.
Furthermore had inaugurated its global CSR program “Samsung Innovation Campus” in Nepal on 2022 December at the Pulchowk Campus of Tribhuvan Univesity Institute of Engineering. Where under this program Samsung trained youth in Nepal on future tech skills such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, the Internet of things, and Coding along with Programming.
Which will contribute to the development of strong technology and innovation ecosystem in Nepal. Whereas the requirement to participate in the courses includes knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and programming. While as part of the programs, youths will be provided with real job skills and in-demand tech skills that will improve their digital literacy, learning abilities, creativity, and employability.
Additionally, along with technological training, the program also offers soft skills training to enhance student employability and the ability to bring knowledge to life. Which also nurtures problem-solving capabilities that will enable students to become innovative thinkers.

While as part of the course “Samsung Innovation Campus” at the Institute of Engineering students will also undergo a practical project component. Where students will be challenged to present a project of social significance in which AI, Big Data, Coding & Programming, and IoT play a role.
What Happened Today at Samsung Innovation Campus?
Today (May 25, 2023) Samsung Innovation Campus completed the first batch of the Coding & Programming course in partnership with the prestigious Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering. To upskill students in future tech domains such as AI, Big Data, and IoT. Moreover, at the ceremony, students were given their certificates of completion while the event was attended by Ms.Pramila Kumari, Hon’ble State Minister of Education, Mr. Sung June Park, Samsung Southwest Asia, and Dr. Shashidhar Ram Joshi, Professor & Dean, Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering.
While now under the program Samsung Innovation Campus will start the next batch of students for the Artificial Intelligence course at the Pulchowk Campus of Tribhuvan University Institue of Engineering.
Samsung Innovation Campus Program Objective in Nepal
According to Mr. Sung June Park, Head of Nepal Office, Samsung Southwest Asia, their objective has always been to create capable Nepalese Youths well adapted for the future and contribute to the rising economy of Nepal, particularly in the context of innovation and technology.
Futhermore as part of the Samsung Innovation Campus program youth will be provided with real job skills and in-demand tech skills that will improve their digital literacy, learning abilities, creativity, and employability. Whereas Samsung believes in using innovation to positively transform communities and create a better life for people through its CSR initiatives.
