Anticipation is building that Samsung will opt for an Exynos chipset in specific iterations of its Galaxy S24 series for the upcoming year, according to insights from AnTuTu’s Chinese website. This latest development has led to Samsung’s Exynos 2400 Leaks. This strategic move is expected to cover regions such as Europe, Africa, and select Asian markets, where the Galaxy S24 lineup might feature the Exynos 2400 System-on-Chip (SoC). This new chip will be built upon an enhanced 4nm fabrication process, showcasing Samsung’s dedication to technological advancement.

Samsung's Exynos 2400 Leaks

Samsung’s Exynos 2400 Leaks:

The leaked report not only sheds light on the choice of chipset but also delves into its intricate specifications. A prominent highlight is the chipset’s 10-core CPU configuration, thought to be organized in a 1+2+3+4 arrangement. The primary powerhouse, a Cortex-X4 core, is rumored to achieve a clock speed of 3.1 GHz. Accompanying it are a pair of Cortex-A720 cores, designed to operate at 2.9 GHz as part of a dual cluster.

Additionally, the chipset encompasses a trio of Cortex-A720 cores running at 2.6 GHz, while a quartet of Cortex-A520 cores, with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz, is primed to handle less demanding tasks. Notably, all of these cores are rooted in the ARMv9 architecture, showcasing a commitment to cutting-edge design.

A significant leap can be seen in the graphical capabilities of the Exynos 2400, with a heightened Xclipse 940 GPU. Further, this upgraded GPU boasts a twofold increase in graphics compute units, integrating AMD’s RDNA 2 technology. A noteworthy evolution from the Xclipse 920, which featured three workgroup processors (WGP) with two compute units each, the Xclipse 940 is expected to encompass six WGP units, summing up to 12 GPU cores.

Samsung's Exynos 2400 Leaks

While the exact performance equivalence with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or the Exynos 2200 remains uncertain, this advancement represents a substantial stride forward in addressing the historical graphical constraints of Exynos chips.

Further enhancements include compatibility with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, while the revamped Image Signal Processor (ISP) exhibits capabilities to manage 320MP camera sensors and facilitate 8K video recording at 60fps. The integration of the new Exynos 5300 modem is also a probable addition to the repertoire of features.

In summary, AnTuTu’s findings hint at Samsung’s strategic shift back to Exynos chips for a segment of the Galaxy S24 lineup, propelling expectations of enhanced performance and capabilities. This impending chipset’s refined CPU and GPU configurations, alongside comprehensive support for cutting-edge technologies, underline Samsung’s dedication to delivering powerful and competitive mobile solutions.
