Sony has revealed another compact vlogger-friendly camera, the Sony ZV-1F. The camera is the second in its ZV series, The ZV-1 being the first camera, the sony ZV-1F is claimed as a “step up” from smartphones. The new camera brings out updated features and is the most affordable vlogging camera introduced by sony. So what brings out the Sony ZV-1F from the rest? Design components:
The new sony ZV-1F camera is available in two color options black and white and weighs approximately 256 grams including battery and memory. The product heights of 60mm, (23/8), with a base of 105.5mm (41/4). As we know, sony has been using and recycling plastics in their digital cameras and video cameras actively. The ZV-1F is also made of SORPLAS(recycled plastic)on the camera body, which offers sustainability and reduces environmental impact.
Also make vlogging comfortable with the GP-VPT2BT shooting grip10, which enables you to grab stabler shots, and also doubles as a tripod. The grip features a zoom lever and the recording button on the grip side for more easy grip. The camera has an LCD display of approx 20.1 megapixels.
Lens:
The ZV-1F features the same 20.1MP 1.0-type (13.2mm x 8.8mm) Exmor RS CMOS sensor as its predecessor. However this time the ZV-1F boasts a 20mm (35mm equivalent) f2.0 fixed wide-angle prime lens. The lens has an angle of view of 94° with a focus range of approximately 5 cm. This provides a wide room for users to fit in the frame. It has no built-in stabilization, instead relying on electronic stabilization that imposes a 1.23x crop, making the 20mm lens about 25mm.
Audio:
One of the main highlights of the camera is the built-in directional 3-capsule microphone with a bundled windscreen. This provides the camera to have high-quality audio even while shooting outdoors and battling with the wind. There are also multiple choices for connecting external microphones.
Camera performance:
The camera contains a BIONZ X image processing engine and can shoot 4K at up to 30 fps, the same as the ZV-1, and 1080p at up to an impressive 120fps. The ZV-1F can also record vertical videos, making it ideal for Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts. The ISO of this camera can be extended from 125-12800, so now you don’t have problems during low lights shoots. The ZV-1F has a focus area of wide 425 points and has a focus mode for Single-shot AF, Continuous AF, and Manual Focus. Likewise, image control is focused on Contrast, Saturation, Sharpness, Creative looking, and many more.
There are numerous shooting modes available on the camera such as Program Auto, Aperture Priority, Shutter Speed Priority, Manual Exposure, Movie Mode, Manual Exposure, Movie Auto, and many more. It features a self-timer, drive modes, and similar features.
Connectivity and battery:
The camera allows connection of wifi (2.4GHz band) and Bluetooth Standard Ver. 4.1. Similarly there are input-output terminals on USB Terminal Type-C (USB2.0), Micro HDMI, and a Microphone jack (3.5 mm Stereo mini jack). It is supported with DC3.6V(supplied battery) with 1240 mAh. Battery life depends upon factors however, continuous shooting can be done for approx for 90 minutes.
Price and availability:
The price for the sony ZV-1F is $500 and will be available in late October. So the expected sony ZV-1F price in Nepal will be Rs 65,610. However, there haven’t been any official announcements regarding the sony ZV-1F price in Nepal.
