Top 5 Features of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 

• 120Hz Dual Foldable Display

Unlike the last Fold, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 features a 120Hz 6.2 inches Cover display at the front and if that’s not enough for you, when unfolded you are treated with a large 7.6 inches Dynamic AMOLED 2X HDR10+ display with a max brightness of 1200+ nits. So apart from its high refresh rate, we should also have a good look at its hinge. 

This is an upgraded hinge that adds tons of functionality to the Z Fold 3 with the Flex model. Flex mode allows the UI to be used by splitting into two different elements. We have seen this feature back in the Z Fold, but now it is much more refined and supports more apps. I would love to talk more about the features of the Flex mode in the software section. 

• S- Pen Support

From this time the Galaxy Z Fold 3 supports S Pen, specially made for the Foldable, making this the first foldable smartphone to support S pen. Samsung launched two new S Pen options alongside the Z Fold3 – the more basic S Pen Fold edition and the S Pen Pro. Neither is included with the regular retail package of the Z Fold3 though the S Pen edition one is part of pre-order bundles, alongside a matching case, with a place to slot said accessory.  The S Pen Pro features Bluetooth and few extra features over the regular one. 

• Camera, Camera, and Camera

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 features cameras all around. We get one on the Cover display, one under the display when unfolded whereas three on the back. Talking about the specs and features on the cover display inside a punch hole we have a 10 MP, f/2.2 sensor which can capture 4K@30fps and 1080p@30fps. Whereas when unfolded we get a 4MP f/1.8 under-display camera making this the first mainstream flagship from Samsung. Whereas at the rear we are treated with a triple camera setup with a 12MP f/1.8 primary shooter along with a 12MP f/2.2 Ultra Wide-angle camera and the last one is a 12MP f/2.4 Telephoto Camera with 2X Optical zoom. 

On top of that, what’s interesting is, You can flip that rear camera and you can use all those Megapixels to take selfies from your rear camera using a cover display as a viewfinder resulting in high-quality selfies. 

• Software Experience

The Software feature and experience of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 make it icing on the cake. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 runs on Android 11 with Samsung’s One UI 3.1.1 on top. This iteration of Samsung One UI is going to be exclusive to the foldable. Samsung’s One Ui has many subtle and refined changes in its user interface to uplift your experience of using the Fold 3. Let it be flex mode, where you can make the device stand on its one half and the content is devices into two parts of the display. Other than that we get an edge bar with sets of apps that you can quickly use in multi-tasking mode and tons of other features related to productivity.

• Top of the line Performance

On the performance front too, there are no compromises on Fold 3. We have a top-of-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 with Adreno 660 GPU. It’s a 5nm SoC from Qualcomm with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256 or 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. So on the performance front, there’s no need to worry. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 can handle anything you throw at it. Even during our usage, we didn’t feel any issue whatsoever on the performance front with the Z fold 3.
