Vivo recently unveiled the S12 series comprising of two smartphones- Vivo S12 and Vivo S12 Pro. The smartphones are the successor to previously launched Vivo S10 and Vivo S10 Pro. Both the smartphones flaunt gorgeous displays with HDR10+ and have similar designs. With a massive 44W fast charging support, you can fully charge the smartphones in a small time. There is no official announcement regarding the global shipping and sale of smartphones, but hopefully, we will soon hear the official launch and price of the Vivo S12 and S12 Pro in Nepal.

Vivo S12 and S12 Pro- Overview
Design and Display
Vivo is renowned for bringing in some creativity and newness with every new launch of Vivo smartphones. And this time around, we can see some significant changes in the S12 series. Even though the S12 and S12 Pro in the series look the same at a glance- the S12 Pro has a curvy back while S12 flaunts a boxy design. Both the devices flaunt a square bump at the rear panel housing its triple camera along with a flash at the side. Likewise, at the front, both the devices house their dual selfie camera inside a big notch on the top center.
Nonetheless, besides the curvy back, S12 Pro is light-weighted than the vanilla version and is also relatively thicker and larger. So, you can feel a major difference while holding the devices.
As for the display, S12 wears a 6.44 inches AMOLED display while S12 Pro flaunts a larger AMOLED display of 6.56 inches. Besides the size, both the devices have a refresh rate of 90Hz and FHD resolution. Furthermore, with HDR10+, you can expect magnificent visuals on these phones. Nonetheless, the other difference is that the S12 model has a touch sampling rate of 180Hz while the Pro version has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.
Performance
Under the hood, S12 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset fabricated under 6nm process while the Pro version is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset. The devices boot on OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12. The vanilla version will be available in only two different configurations- 8/256GB and 12/256GB. The Pro version, on contrary, will be available in 3 different storage configurations- 8/128GB, 8/256GB, and 12/256GB.
Camera
As for the camera, S12 and S12 Pro feature the same 108MP triple camera setup at the rear panel housed inside a square camera bump. The setup features a 108MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro lens. However, at the front, the vanilla version features a dual-camera setup including a 44MP primary camera accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The Pro version houses 50MP primary selfie camera accompanied by 8MP ultra-wide lens at the front.
Battery
As for the battery, the vanilla version packs in a 4200mAh battery with fast charging support of 44W. The Pro version, to suffice its larger screen size, has a relatively larger battery of 4300mAh battery with the same 44W of fast charging support.
Vivo S12 and S12 Pro- Price and Availability
The S12 series from Vivo is launched in China at the moment. The vanilla version costs CNY 2,799 and CNY 2,999 for the 8/256 and 12/256GB configuration respectively. The S12 Pro costs CNY 3,399 and CNY 3,693 for the 8/256GB and 12/256GB model respectively. We can expect the Vivo S12 and S12 Pro to hit the market in Nepal soon with the price starting at around NPR 62,000.
