Vivo V23 Pro launched in India with Dual Selfie Camera, color changing back and Dimensity 1200 5G SoC

Vivo is always known for its camera and its design choices, yet another Vivo device is back in the market following the same philosophy. Previously we have seen Vivo V23e in the V series, now two new devices Vivo V23 and Vivo V23 Pro have been launched in India. Both the devices have similar designs but major differences when it comes to their specs. Today, in this article let’s have a closer look into the Vivo V23 Pro, along with its specification, features, and expected price in Nepal.  

Vivo V23 Pro Overview 

Build & Design 

Vivo V23 Pro looks premium. At the rear, we get the color-changing Fluorite AG Glass and this can change color when exposed to sunlight or artificial UV rays. This feature is available on the golden color variant and opts out from the black one. While at the front we get a curved AMOLED display with a notch at the top. The notch houses a dual selfie camera along with a dual-LED flash. The device is light at 171gm and is just 7.35mm thin. We get dual sim card support while the micro-SD card support is missing here along with the headphone jack. 

Display 

At the front, we get a 6.56-inches AMOLED display with a 90Hz of refresh rate. This is an FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2376 pixels and is protected by Schott Xensation α Glass. As it’s an HDR10+ certified display it is pretty bright and can play HDR videos from Youtube. Though it has some issues while playing HDR videos on Youtube but that can be fixed with a software update. Along with all this Vivo V23 Pro is the slimmest phone in India with a 3D curved display. 

Camera 

This is where Vivo V23 Pro shines. Unlike any other article this time we will be talking about the selfie camera first, cameras to be precise. As we have dual-camera support at the front inside the notch. Here we get a 50MP f/2.0 primary camera with eye autofocus and the capability of recording HDR and 4K videos upto 30fps. While the second one is an ultra-wide-angle camera with 8MP resolution and an aperture of f/2.3. Here you get 105˚ of ultra-wide view. 

Whereas on the rear we are treated with a triple camera setup. On the Vivo V23 Pro, we get a 108MP f/1.9 Primary camera with support for PDAF. Along with this, we get an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide shooter coupled with a 2MP macro sensor. The rear camera can also record 4K videos upto 30fps. Apart from camera specs, Vivo V23 Pro’s camera app is filled with tons of features like Dual recording, Double exposure, super night video, HDR selfie videos, portraits, and more. So, account all this Vivo V23 Pro might be the best camera device in its segment at least for selfies. 

Performance 

Vivo V23 Pro is powered by MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 1200 5G SoC, built under a 6nm fabrication process, it is both powerful and efficient at the same time. It is an octa-core CPU with 1 x 3.0 GHz Cortex-A78 & 3×2.6 GHz Cortex-A78 & 4×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores along with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. While for the memory configuration we have 8./12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. MediaTek Dimensity 1200 is a capable SoC and can push 60fps in games like PUBG Mobile without any sweat. Talking about the Benchmark results, Vivo V23 Pro was able to score 604008+ on the Antutu. We have seen this SoC previously in devices like One Plus Nord 2 and Poco F3 GT. 

Battery and Other Features 

Complementing its thin and light form factor, Vivo V23 Pro houses a 4300mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging, and the charger is provided in the box. Talking about the software we get Android 12 out of the box, with Vivo’s own Funtouch OS 12 on top. For the connectivity, we have 5G, GPS, and  WiFi ac with support for Dual-band along with Bluetooth 5.2.

Vivo V23 Pro Price in Nepal and Availability 

As of now, Vivo V23 Pro has been launched in India starting at  INR.38,990 for the 8GB/128GB variant. Vivo V23 pro might also launch in Nepal in the coming days. The expected price of the Vivo V23 Pro in Nepal is NRs. 65,000 for the 8GB/128GB variant and similarly the price for 12/256GB is expected to be around NRs. 73,000.
