Vivo X80 Pro makes its debut alongside the vanilla X80

Vivo has released the Vivo X80 Pro and the vanilla X80 in China. Unfortunately, the company hasn’t launched the X80 Pro+ yet but the device should be making its debut soon. This time, Vivo has announced its flagship phone with two different chipsets.

Vivo X80 Pro comes in two chipset versions: Snapdragon 8 Gen1 and Dimensity 9000. Probably, the device will come with only Snapdragon 8 Gen1 version in the global market. At the same time, X80 comes with only the Dimensity 9000 chipset option.

On the software front, both devices ship with OriginOS based on Android 12. Likewise, you get the same 6.78-inch AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the X80 Pro has a higher QHD resolution while the vanilla X80 has an FHD+ resolution.

Vivo X80 Pro has a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, an 8MP periscope lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens. At the same time, the vanilla model has a triple camera setup that compromises a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 12MP telephoto camera. Similarly, there is a 32MP selfie camera on both devices.

Vivo X80 Pro packs a larger 4700mAh battery over the 4500mAh battery on the vanilla X80 model. Both phones support up to 80W fast charging while the Pro model gets additional 50W wireless charging support.

The Vivo X80 Pro retails at CNY 5,499 for the 8/256GB model and the Dimensity model doesn’t have this configuration. Other 12/256GB and 12/512GB variants cost CNY 5,999 and CNY 6,699 respectively. Both devices are available in three color options: Journey, to Black, and Holiday.

The X80 is priced at CNY 3,699, CNY 3,999, CNY 4,399 ($670) and CNY 4,899 for the 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB models.

Vivo X80 Pro will go head to head against some flagship giants like iPhone 13 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and OnePlus 10 Pro.
