Xiaomi Civi launches with Snapdragon 778 and a thin and light design

Xiaomi has launched Xiaomi CiVi in China. Though this has been a designed focus device from Xiaomi, it still has covered most of the aspects of being a good premium-mid-range smartphone. Here Xiaomi has also targeted the selfie lover audience with its 32 MP front camera. Let’s have a closer look into Xiaomi Civi.

Xiaomi Civi Overview

Design & Display

Xiaomi Civi comes with a glass sandwich design, with minimum Bezels at the front with a curved display. The device is light at 166 g and is just 7mm thin. At the back, we get a triple camera setup inside the new Camera hump design, while at the front we are treated with a 6.55 inches Curved OLED display. It is a 10Bit panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and at the bottom has the thinnest chin among any other Xiaomi Smartphone. The Display here supports Dolby Vision and is HDR10+, with a maximum brightness of 950 nits. Looking at all these specifications, it seems like consuming content on this display will be a joy, and the experience will be much more immersive due to the Dolby Atmos support and a Hi-Res audio certification. The device looks like a pumped-up Mi 11 Lite 5G NE.

Performance

Even though the Xiaomi Civi is a designed focused device, we still get a powerful Snapdragon 778G on the device. This is the same SoC that we saw on devices like Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, Mi 11 Lite 5G NE, and recently launched iQOO Z5. This is a powerful SoC, which can handle heat very well. Along with this, we get an Adreno 642L GPU with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB internal storage. This SoC can handle games like PUBG Mobile and Call of Duty, under high graphics settings and frame rate.

Camera

This time, let’s talk about the selfie camera first, as we have a 32 MP sensor with Auto Focus. Here Xiaomi Claims, that the selfie camera offers “pixel-level” skin restoration capabilities. While at the rear, we are treated with a 64MP f/1.79 primary sensor along with an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide and the last one being a 2MP macro sensor. The camera setup here is decent, I would say. We have to see how the front camera performs once the reviews are out.
